WHY POUND?
POUND is a full-body cardio jam session, combining light resistance with constant simulated drumming. The workout fuses cardio, Pilates, isometric movements, plyometrics and Isometric poses into a 45-minute series. Burn between 400 and 900+ calories per hour, strengthen and sculpt infrequently used muscles, and drum your way to a leaner, slimmer physique – all while rocking out to your favorite music!

Through continual upper body motion using our lightly weighted drumsticks, called Ripstix™, you'll turn into a calorie-torching drummer, POUNDing off pounds as each song flies by. Rock, rap, dubstep, pop and old school music fuse to create the POUNDtrack series, which is hand-selected by music enthusiasts, drummers and POUND founders Kirsten Potenza and Cristina Peerenboom.

IT WORKS.
POUND combines easy to follow (and not complex or embarrassing) cardio moves with strength training and drumming. This combo works the entire body, raises the heart rate to a fat-burning zone, and forces each move to be as precise as a basic beat.

Each 2-4 minute song is carefully calibrated with interval peaks and extended fat burning sequences, providing you with the best workout in the shortest span of time. After you’re done rocking out to the 45-minute POUNDtrack, you’ll have done 15,000 reps, performed over 30 extended interval peaks, and zipped through over 70 techniques without even realizing it.

You’ll actually hear your body working, each move generating a sound. Think you’re not coordinated? Hearing yourself and adjusting based on the sounds you make will fix that in a snap. Deep Stretch and Flexibility Classes

This 60 minute class is sure to get your muscles loose and your body bending! We will focus on relaxing your body and stretching your muscles so that you can be the best YOU! This class is a great class for getting that flexibility you've been aiming for.

There is no prerequisite for this class.

Bollywood Classes


     Bollywood is one of the largest film producers in India and is classified as the biggest movie industry in the world in terms of amount of people employed and number of films produced, Songs are what make and break the movie in Bollywood  they determine if it is going to be a flop or a hit. Songs typically comment on the action taking place in the movie, in several ways. Sometimes, a song is worked into the plot, so that a character has a reason to sing. Other times, a song is an externalization of a character's thoughts, or presages an event that has not occurred yet in the plot of the movie. In this case, the event is often two characters falling in love. The songs are also often referred to as a "dream sequence", and anything can happen that would not normally happen in the real world.
      Indy Pole had collaborated with Bollywood Beats and instructor Jenny Bhupatkar will be teaching a fun filled Bollywood routine inspired by this movie industry. Its a great opportunity for all you ladies to feel like a "DIVA"  and come learn this high energy routine and also get a chance to perform in our annual showcase, not to forget you will dress up as a Bollywood actress with gorgeous jewelry to accompany the colorful costumes!

Zumba Classes

Zumba is a great cardio workout that helps each person burn between 600-800 calories in just 60 minutes!

The upbeat music in this class is sure to get your heart pumping and your body moving!

Wear clothes that are comfortable to work out in - a lot of our students wear yoga/workout pants, a t-shirt, and tennis shoes!

No prerequisite required.

Hip Hop/Choreography Classes

Ever want to experience what if feels like to be one of your favorite musical artist’s backup dancers? Now you can with our Hip Hop/Choreography classes. Each class will include a new dance, new song, and new moves. Get a great cardio workout while learning dance fitness routines to current radio hits. You can even suggest some of your favorite songs!

There is no dance experience required and all levels are welcomed. Comfy dance clothes and tennis shoes/jazz sneakers are recommended.

Belly Dancing Classes

This class is awesome and fun! It will introduce you to the basics of traditional middle eastern belly dancing. We will start your journey to shimmy and shake for fitness with some stretches and warm up exercises and progress into the basics. This class, and the following classes, will help you hone your core, legs, and arms, as well as teach body awareness that is beneficial to progressing in this tradition and other available classes. 

Please make sure to wear tight fitting leggings, capris, or shorts and, of course, don't forget a scarf or coin sash to tie around those hips! - We have some scarves available to use during class if you need one!

Dance & Fitness

Yoga Classes

Come join us for classes and get fit and flexy at the same time! There is no experience required! We start with the basics...and get you fit and flexy before we try any of the hard stuff. This class is not intimidating like some classes - we keep it relaxed and want to make sure you get the most out of it!

Leave your worries and the stress of the world behind as you lengthen and stretch deeper by the minute. You will leave with a calm and complete relaxation as well as a clear mind. Join us for Yoga!

Classes are 60 minutes long. Please wear yoga pants/capris or shorts and a tank top or shirt. No shoes are needed. Some yoga mats are provided, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.

No yoga experience is required.
No prerequisite pole classes are required.
