Pole Fitness

Q: What should I wear to class?

A: Short “booty” shorts and a tank/sports bra are best when coming to pole fitness class.

Q: Should I wear shoes to class?

A: That is up to you. Many people find it easiest to come in and go barefoot during class. As you become more experienced, you can add in some high heels if you’d like!

Q: Do I have to master everything in each level before moving on?

A: No! You can stay in a class as long as you’d like. We do ask that you are able to complete a large portion of the moves before moving on. Your instructor can help guide you and determine when you are ready to take the next step.

Q: I think I’m too old to participate in this sport. Do you have an age limit?

A: No! We have ladies of all ages and from different walks of life that participate in our classes. Ladies of all ages are welcome!  :)

Q: When are your classes?

A: We offer classes several days a week. Our most up to date classes can be found on our Services tab or by clicking on our class schedule on our home page.

Q: Is it ok if I have zero experience in dance and/or gymnastics?

A: Yes! We all have to start at the beginning sometime. Our instructors take the time to be sure you are prepared to move on to the next level before you’re ready. You will start with the basics and work your way up as you feel comfortable. There is no pressure to move on if you’re not ready! We will teach you all that you need to know – no experience required. One of our most famous polers, Natasha Wang, had zero experience when she started, but she has the ability to move and make beautiful shapes with her body.

Q: What is the difference between Intro to Pole, Beginners Level 1, and Beginners Level 2?

A: Intro is the first class we ask all of our students to take. This class will teach you the basics and will also teach you about safety. This class is required before moving on. Once you take Intro, you are ready for Beginners Level 1, which will teach you several sits, spins, and some more basic skills. It is important to master the moves in this class before moving on to Beginners Level 2 where you will begin to learn more power moves and how to put what you learned in Beginners Level 1 together and how to transition the moves and have them flow together.

Q: I have no upper body strength, so I don’t think this class is for me.

A: With pole fitness, you start at the beginning and you get to learn the basics. You build your strength as you go. There is no pressure to do something you don’t feel comfortable with, and we won’t ask you to do something that your body isn’t ready for.

Q: I don’t think I’m sexy enough.

A: Sure you are. No matter how sexy (or unsexy) you feel, pole fitness is a great workout for anyone. Not every routine has to be sexy. We all have our own style. You take what you learn and you make it your own.

Q: But I’m not flexible…and I have this old injury that deters me from participating in physical activity.

A: That’s ok! Everyone is different, and we will work with you to be sure that you are comfortable with the things we ask you to do. We won’t push you to do something you don’t feel comfortable with.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: We ask that you cancel at least two (2) hours prior to your class start time. You can do this by calling us, emailing, texting, or on the MindBody App. If not canceled prior to the two (2) hours you will still be charged for the class
